peanut butter chocolate fondants

If you are like me and always entertaining friends and family…I even find myself looking for excuses to entertain I enjoy it so much (just don’t tell anyone 😉 ) There are times that I just do not have enough time to make everything from scratch especially desserts…if you have this problem from time to time too…then I have a solution for you!

NoMu has the most awesome range of Baking Kits, the range includes everything from biscuits to cakes. My favourite though is the Chocolate Fondant Kit – it makes such deliciously rich and gooey fondants (if you don’t over cook them of course!).

The best part about the fondants is you can put your own spin on them, such as include a peanut butter filling or anything else you desire like white chocolate or even Turkish delight.

The quick and easy peanut butter chocolate fondant recipe below is perfect when you are having a few friends over and you want a decadent dessert that doesn’t take you hours to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 NoMU Chocolate Fondant Kit
  • 2 large eggs, lightly whisked
  • 50 ml milk
  • 80 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 tsp peanut butter
  • Cream, whipped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C and lightly grease four ramekins/mini glass jars/tea cups.
  2. Place the fondant mix, eggs, milk and butter in a mixing bowl and lightly whisk until well combined.
  3. Fill each ramekin half full with the batter, place 1 tsp peanut butter into the middle of each ramekin and cover with the rest of the fondant batter.
  4. Bake for 9 - 11 minutes. The top of the fondants must be just firm to the touch and the centre must still be gooey, so be careful not to over-bake them.
  5. Serve immediately with home-made vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
